Move In

New students may move in between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, or Sunday, August 25, 2024. The residence halls will open to all students at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 25.

Go directly to your residence hall when you arrive. Your house director and RA team will be waiting to give you your keys, student ID card, and to help you move in.

Check-In with your admissions counselors at the Searle Center lobby between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25 to pick up your Orientation packet and new student t-shirt.

Residence Hall Information

  • General Information

    All rooms include a bed with mattress pad, desk with lamp, bookcase and wastebasket.

    Student ID cards are used to grant access to buildings on campus. New students will receive their student ID card at their residence hall if they have submitted their ID photo. Click here to submit your photo.

    If you’re mailing packages to campus they can be picked up on Saturday, August 24 or Sunday, August 25 from 11-2 at the Print and Mail Center next to the Fowler Maintenance center.

Meal Plan Information

All new students are automatically enrolled in the all-inclusive 19 meals per week plan. If you’d like to change your meal plan, email the Dean of Men’s office (rconrad@hillsdale.edu) or the Dean of Women’s Office (cmilligan@hillsdale.edu).

Orientation Weekend Hours

The offices and locations listed below will be open during Orientation Weekend (August 24th-25th) at the times listed below:

Grewcock Student Union
- Saturday and Sunday
Note: Student mailboxes (located in Grewcock Student Union) will be accessible during move-in weekend. Packages sent via UPS and FedEx will be delivered directly to residence halls. Packages sent via USPS can be picked up at the Print and Mail Center. The Print and Mail Center will be open from 11-2 on Saturday and Sunday.

Hillsdale College Bookstore (Includes Textbook Pickup)
- Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Mossey Library
